Every Day Intuition

Happy New Year Everyone!! In the New Year, I know that many of you are seeking transformation in your life. You may be wishing to see something released and drastically changed or simply build on what is already going well for you. The New Year is always looked upon as a fresh start, a time of renewal, and opportunity.

It is in this energy that I wish to celebrate with you one of the most important relationships you can have. Your relationship with YOUR SPIRIT through the communication of Intuition!

Intuition ~ the voice of Spirit in connection with Creator and All that Is. Intuition is the voice of our highest. It is the voice of reason beyond understanding. It is the Voice of your Infinite Being, your God/Goddess Self, I AM. Through this relationship, your life becomes rich, joyful and loving in ways you’d never imagined!

The power of your intuition comes through to you in the “NOW” moment. If you are attached to reflecting on the past or concerned with matters of the future, your mind is totally engaged. It makes no room for Spirit to speak to you in the infinite, NOW moment. Quiet your mind to receive the voice of Spirit via intuition. Spirit knows and maintains the highest and most loving energies for us in every moment. So, wouldn’t you like to have a deeper relationship with your Spirit through the inner voice of intuition?

What’s your Style?

Our intuition has a ‘style’ or way of communicating with each of us. Some of us hear things. Some ‘see things’ through the ‘inner eye.’ Some of us feel things. Some have just a knowing. Some of us rely on goose bumps for that extra special ‘shot’ of intuition. Some of us rely on our dreams to direct us one way or another. There is no wrong way that your intuition communicates to you. There is only one right way for you, however, and that is YOUR WAY! We often get hung up in comparing our intuition with others and all this does is blind us. Be open for all ways, but know what is easiest, most natural for you.

I would like to share with you a few stories of how my intuition makes my life more peaceful, rich and fun! I have chosen stories that are about ‘everyday’ experiences. This is important to see that intuition is there for us every day in every breath.

For example, as you start out, your mind trusts your intuition a lot easier in deciding what meal to pick from a menu than it will buying a new home. Start with the day to day events in trusting your intuition. Have fun with it. Let your intuition guide you each day and your mind will more easily trust it when you are faced with opportunities for even greater creations in your life, like a new job, new relationship or moving to a new town.

Claircognizance ~ Knowing

There is no other aspect to this than just a ‘knowing.’ I know you ask, “How do I know this just isn’t my mind?” There are a few questions you can ask. 1. Would you have come up with this “answer” through your own mind? For example, scientists have been noted as saying intuition provided the answer through just a ‘knowing’ after logically working on a solution for years. 2. Is the answer out of love or lack? Love and abundance is always Divine Mind. Lack and contraction is the physical mind. What I am speaking of is the energy – the feeling - of the answer. Self love may lead you to an answer that says “no.” But this is not contracted energy when the “no” answer is out of self love and supports your highest good. The “no” answer then becomes a “YES” to YOU!

You have experienced this before. You know you need to call your mom. You follow through and your mom says, “I was just going to call you.”

Recently, I brought my horse in from the pasture for her evening grain and hay. I looked down to find one of her front shoes missing. “Darn…I wanted to ride tomorrow.” My mind was giving me instructions, “we need to call the blacksmith now so we can get on his schedule.” I didn’t call that evening or the next morning. It simply just didn’t feel right.

Around 1:15 the next afternoon, my intuition steps in with a simple and clear knowing, “Call the blacksmith.” My mind chimed in, “We have a client in less than an hour. I need to prepare. What good is it going to do to call the blacksmith now?” Quieting my mind I know ~ Call the blacksmith. I call. The blacksmith answers his phone immediately. He is about 5 miles away and will be right over. My mind could not have planned it better. Intuition made this a very easy.

Clairvoyance ~ Seeing

Often times you will see a picture or image. You may see energies and images of other dimensions. This is clairvoyance. Many express the ability to see brilliant colors that are not of this realm or devices yet to be created. Your intuition can help you with images as symbols that take you to a feeling. Perhaps you remember a certain pet or loved one that will links you to the answers you are seeking.

During a phone session, I was working with a client who lives in South Carolina. I kept seeing a very persistent ‘squirrel’ in my mind’s eye. I asked my client, “What is up with this squirrel?” She responded, “That must be the squirrel that keeps eating only half the apples off my apple tree. I keep telling him I am glad to share, but please eat the whole apple.” I immediately tapped into this and shared the squirrel’s message. The squirrel was showing her that we are abundantly provided for. He knew there would be more apples to come, nuts to collect and bury for the winter and he was divinely provided for. This was a message of Divine prosperity and abundance that my client embraced joyfully.

Clairaudience ~ Hearing

Hearing your intuition can often seem like ‘knowing’ as well. Your intuition comes to you like another voice or your own voice, yet not the same one you hear when you recite the grocery list for the 3^rd time. An example of this “Voice” is the one that says turn right and it brings you to a restaurant where a long time friend just happens to be walking out the door.

One of my favorite stories of “The Voice” occurred years ago, early in my spiritual studies. I had ordered sushi to pick up after work. It was a simple order ~ 6 pieces of fish. While checking out, I hear “The Voice” say, “check the order.” My mind starts arguing, “How could they mess up this order? It was only 6 pieces of fish!” I didn’t check my order. I got in my car. Once again, “Check The Order.” I argue “How could they mess it up? It will be fine.” I drive down the road and at the first stop light I hear, “CHECK THE ORDER.” Again, I argue, “How could it be wrong? It was simple.” (Sounds like a Seinfeld show, doesn’t it?) Well, I get home and, yes, you guessed it. The order is wrong. I am missing 2 pieces of my favorite sushi!

Clairsentience ~ The Feeling

How are you feeling? Do you take time check in with yourself? The energy in motion that runs through our body causes sensations we call ‘emotions.’ The more in tune we get with the energy the greater connection we have with our intuition. Our intuition relates to us through the energy before it even becomes thoughts, words or some physical out come like this article or even a chair. Energy is a pure form of connection with Spirit before the mind engages with analysis. The more simple you make your relationship with intuition and energy, the more clear it gets. Consider this. Instead of ‘labeling’ the energy in motion, describe it. “I feel contraction in my stomach area.” “I feel warmth in my heart space.” If we go with the feeling of the energy, it directs us to our highest good. It takes out the mental analysis and justification. We move in unity with Spirit.

I often get goose bumps when I have a strong ‘intuitive hit’ about something. I may not understand the ‘big picture’ at the moment, but I know that it will direct me toward my highest good. That is how I received the gift of my horse Brioso. She was offered to me while I still had my 21 year old horse Dash. My heart felt really warm. The goose bumps were going crazy. I knew I had to pay attention. Yet my mind was saying “Why do I need another horse? I barely make time to ride Dash now.” Well, I accepted Brioso based on my intuition. Surprisingly, 6 months later, Dash crossed over. This was a beautiful event in my life that my mind could have never planned. (There is much more to this story. Just ask me ~ I love to share it!) Thanks Spirit!

I trust that many of you will find that you are already using your intuition and didn’t even know it. Does it make more sense to you now? Do you see that you are connecting with a part of yourself that is beyond your mental function and the physical body? Take time to sense it, hear it, know it, see it! Dance with your intuition about the ‘little,’ fun things in your everyday creations and you will be poised for greater gifts in all aspects of your life. Trust your intuition and soon your mind/emotions/body/spirit will work as one with no perception of separation. This is you aligning with your infinite essence, your Spirit, where you create a life of joy, peace and bliss!
